I am not a fancy cook. That being said I think anyone can make these.
1 lb lean ground beef (of course beef from Nex-Gen Farm)
2 slices of bread, I use the heels from a loaf so they dont get wasted. Rip in small pieces.
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 Tablespoon italian seasoning
1 clove of garlic
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix until well incorporated.
I use a cookie scoop to portion the meatballs equally. Then I scoop into my hand and hand roll each meatball to help pack it together. Keep space in the baking sheet so meatballs do not touch.
Depending on what size meatballs you make will of course change your cooking times. I make a 1.5 inch meatball and takes about 15 minutes.
Freeze Directions
If you have extra or decide to make a few batches at once, here are my recommendations.
If you bake them and try to store them in the freezer they do not like to stay together well. Instead, when you place them on the cookie sheet, instead of baking, place the cookie sheet in the freezer. When each uncooked meatball is frozen thoroughly, place them in a freezer safe container. Vacuum sealing and placing in the freezer is the best way to store. When you are ready to use them, remove from the bag and place on a cookie sheet. Throw right in the oven while frozen.
Let me know how this recipe works for you. I hope it is as good in your home as it is in mine!
